| The Legend There are many myths and fanciful stories surrounding the guitar and some of it's best players and most famous events. Stories of sold souls, mystical vintage axes and amazing live shows that get better with every retelling are common place. Our story however, the story of how the Oakland Axe Factory came to be, is not legendary in the least. Tom, that's me, got really sick of working retail and decided it was time to for a career change before he (I) had a heart attack. Taking matter into his (my) own hands, Tom got a business license and a bunch of power tools, yeah baby!!!!!! All kidding aside, we started the business 2 years ago in July of 2007. My career change came about for many reasons. The largest of which was to be more involved with my family, the second largest was my passion for music and guitars. |
